Mr. Baseball

Mohawk Man

Oh it has been a great summer so far..........let's see..........a mohawk for little man (it was crucial for team mojo for his baseball team), Ethan's team was again undefeated for the entire season!! They are really good little ball players for kids their age. I'm so sad that the season is already over. It's a little tiring having so many evenings full but it is so worth it when you get to watch your child do something they love. And Ethan LOVES baseball!
In June one of our youth, Zak, came to live with us. Ethan and Grace are so happy to "finally" have a big brother (their own words!ha) and Zandy and I are so happy to have him join the Vandall Fam! One picture is of Zak's birthday~
We had a great 4th of July at the Reagan's fun-filled yearly bash. Z got to shoot the potato gun several times that day(I think he will be asking Santa for one of his own :) )
We had a couple weeks of strep throat and pinkeye. How we get sick in the summer I have no idea! But we are finally all healthy and happy again.
Last week we got to go to see our beloved Cardinals play the Diamondbacks. Unfortunately we didn't win- I think I am some kind of jinx which makes me so sad........:( The last five games I have gone to we have lost. We went with some old friends we hadn't seen in awhile! Thanks Justin and Kim (Anna and Jack too!)
School will be starting again soon and I don't want my babies to leave me! But they are anxious to see their friends again on a regular basis and have a little more to fill their days than sitting around at home. It's been so chilly we haven't even been able to go swimming! Weird weather this summer!
Hope you are all having a fun summer.........

Daddy the HERO!

Last night Zandy was the ultimate hero. Right after Grace and Ethan had gone to bed they realized that they had left their favorite stuffed animals- Tommy Triceratops, Katy Kitty, Hannah Bear, Princess the Cat, and an assortment of "treasures" in the tree house. By this time it is literally pouring down rain. Grace is crying and before I even turn around Zandy is looking for his sandals and heading out the door into the backyard. Grace and Ethan stood at the patio door watching their daddy "save" their animals and waiting to give him big hugs, kisses, and a dry towel when he made it inside. I really believe these are the kind of things the kids will remember many many years from now about their daddy and another reason I am so proud that he is my hubby.

Z and Grace- watch out Hollywood!

Zandy and Grace did a drama at church on Sunday. They played a father and daughter (surprise!) talking about the Lord being the only true giver of life. It was so sweet! They remembered all their lines. I was so proud of them.

Summer is here!!

Ethan being one of the big guys!

We have been swimming a ton! Thanks Miss Marsha for letting us invade your pool!

The cutest little mail carrier (notice Zandy's flip flops!)
We have been swimming as much as possible and going to baseball games! Ethan's team has won both games so far. Tonight's game was postponed due to rain. The kids are enjoying summer school. They have already been to a movie, a magic show, and tomorrow the school is bringing in big inflatables for them to jump in.
Yeah summer!

Now batting, Second Basemen, #9 Ethan Vandall

He is so happy to have his name on his jersey- just like the big leagues!

Bubba with his trusty old bat- "Jimmy"

Baseball Season is here!!!!!!!!!! In tonight's Season Opener the Richland Bears defeated the Laquey pee-wees: 22-3!!!!!!!!!! Ethan hit two line drives into the outfield and scored two runs (only got to bat twice!) Of course we were very loud and very proud!! Tomorrow night he is playing the Crocker Cougars away.

Here's a few more....

Miss Mady and her gorgeous hair
Mandy brought treats back from her and Andrew's date night! The kids got to eat them right after breakfast! Isn't vacation great??

Seashell hunting

One of the kids favorite attractions. Even though they know its fake they act terrified when they first get up to it!haha

Hard Rock Cafe

This is Evil Pet Cemetary Cat (inside joke)
The kids wanted to pet it and it was the weirdest acting cat we've ever seen. It didn't move, blink, meow, or anything. Needless to say noone petted it~

Crab hunting time

We had an amazing vacation with my cousin and her family. Anyone who has never been to Destin Florida has got to go! It is wonderful. This was our second time there and I'm sure we will be back. We played all day everyday until we all collapsed in our beds. We had so many laughs and took about 500 pictures. This is only a few. So many wonderful memories. Harris's we miss you already!!!!!!
